You can break the cycle. We are completely in control of our health future. I’ve been doing CrossFit for 3 years, 2 months. I felt nervous on my first day, but our coach was super nice and helpful. My friend told me before that anything I couldn’t do they would scale for me. When I started here, the first thing I noticed was the community. Everyone is super encouraging and helpful. The coaches really care to do things safely and consistently.
Physically, I have completely changed my body. I have lost 29 lbs. and 53 inches since last July. I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been in my life. If you had told me 10 years ago that I would love running, I would have thought you were the craziest idiot ever. If I can come in and learn how to do it, then you can come in and learn how to do it.
You have confidence, not arrogance. You are more alert, more awake. You look better, you feel better. You’re stronger. You eat better. It teaches you a lot. I’ve been doing CrossFit for six months now. I had limited shoulder mobility due to previous surgeries and couldn’t do a box jump or lunges. That has changed. Alfred is a great coach. He is aware of where my weaknesses are. The group atmosphere here is absolutely phenomenal – a great support group that cheers for you whether you’re first or last. In six months’ time, the transformation has been phenomenal for me. I don’t see ever stopping.
